Write for BiyaDecor
At BiyaDecor, we believe that beautiful, functional homes start with good information. Our readers come to us to learn about curtains, fabrics, window treatments, and home decor from people who genuinely understand the craft — not from recycled content or generic advice.
That’s why we welcome contributions from designers, decorators, fabric professionals, and knowledgeable home decor enthusiasts who want to share real insight with our readers. If you have something genuinely useful to say about curtains, fabrics, or interior styling, we’d love to hear from you.
This isn’t a guest-post exchange or a place to submit content for the sake of a byline. It’s an editorial space, and we hold contributions to that standard.
Who Can Contribute
We welcome pitches and articles from:
- Interior designers and decorators
- Curtain and upholstery fabric professionals
- Textile and soft-furnishing specialists
- Home stylists and decor consultants
- Experienced DIY decorators with real project knowledge
- Writers with genuine, demonstrable expertise in fabrics, textiles, or interior design
We’re not the right fit for SEO agencies, marketers submitting content on behalf of clients, or writers whose primary goal is placing links rather than helping our readers. If that describes your intent, please don’t submit — our editorial process isn’t built for it, and we review every submission with this in mind.
Topics We Accept
We’re happy to consider well-developed pitches and articles on subjects such as:
- Curtains and curtain styles
- Curtain fabrics and fabric selection
- Window treatments and window dressing ideas
- Curtain care, cleaning, and maintenance
- Sofa and upholstery fabrics
- Interior design principles and approaches
- Home decor ideas and inspiration
- Room-by-room decorating guidance
- Color coordination and palette planning
- Practical, real-world decorating advice
- DIY decor projects
- Fabric knowledge, textures, and textiles for the home
If your idea sits close to these topics but isn’t listed above, feel free to pitch it — we’re open to good ideas.
Editorial Guidelines
We look for content that is:
- Original — written specifically for BiyaDecor and not published elsewhere
- Accurate — fact-checked and correct, especially around fabric properties, care instructions, and design advice
- Useful — genuinely helpful to someone furnishing, decorating, or maintaining their home
- Experience-based — informed by real knowledge, whether professional or hands-on
- Well-structured — organized, easy to follow, and free of fluff
- Well-written — clear, natural language, free of grammatical errors and awkward phrasing
We’d rather publish one excellent article a month than ten mediocre ones. Please keep that in mind when deciding what to pitch.
What We Don't Accept
To protect the quality of our site and the trust of our readers, we do not accept:
- Plagiarized content, or content copied or lightly reworded from other sources
- Spun, AI-generated without review, or low-effort content
- Overly promotional articles written primarily to advertise a brand, product, or service
- Content unrelated to curtains, fabrics, interior design, or home decor
- Articles submitted primarily to build links rather than to inform readers
- Submissions from agencies or individuals writing on behalf of clients solely for link placement
Articles that fall into any of these categories will not be published, regardless of writing quality.
External Links Policy
We occasionally allow links within contributed articles, but only when they are genuinely relevant and add value for the reader — for example, linking to a credible source, a relevant study, or further reading that supports the article’s content. Links are not guaranteed, are evaluated individually, and are never treated as a benefit or incentive for contributing. Articles submitted mainly as a vehicle for links will be declined.
Author Bio Guidelines
Contributors may include a short author bio (2–3 sentences) at the end of their article. Your bio should briefly describe who you are and your relevant background or experience. One relevant link — such as a professional profile or personal website — may be included if appropriate. Bios that read as advertisements will be edited or removed.
How to Submit
To pitch or submit an article, email us at admin@biyadecor.com with the following:
- Your proposed title or topic
- A brief summary or pitch describing what the article will cover
- Your completed article or draft, if you already have one
- A short author bio
- Any relevant experience, background, or credentials (professional or hands-on)
Please send your pitch or draft as a plain document (Google Doc or Word file works well). We review submissions individually, so give us a little context on why you’re the right person to write on your chosen topic.
Editorial Review & Publication
Every submission is reviewed by BiyaDecor before publication.. Submitting an article does not guarantee that it will be published — we accept only content that meets our standards for quality, originality, and relevance to our readers.
If we accept your article, we may edit it for clarity, accuracy, formatting, or overall editorial quality before publishing. We’ll always aim to preserve your voice and intent, and we’ll credit you as the author.
Response times may vary depending on submission volume, so we appreciate your patience while we review your pitch.
Let's Create Something Useful Together
Good writing about curtains, fabrics, and home decor comes from people who actually understand the subject — whether that’s through years of professional experience or a genuine passion for getting a room right. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear your ideas.
We’re building BiyaDecor as a resource people can trust, one well-considered article at a time. If you’d like to be part of that, send us your pitch at admin@biyadecor.com — we look forward to reading it.
